Kerala HC rules in favour of governor in APJAKTU row

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday upheld the decision of the Chancellor of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (APJAKTU) to appoint Ciza Thomas as the interim vice-chancellor of the university. Governor Arif Mohammad Khan is the Chancellor of the university.

Justice Devan Ramachandran gave the ruling after considering a petition (WP-C No. 35656/22) filed by the state government. The appointment was made by the Chancellor after the Supreme Court declared void ab initio the appointment of the vice chancellor, for violating the UGC Regulations, 2018.
