Kentucky has now confirmed 46 measles cases in 2026, and four people have been hospitalized, one more than in the previous report, according to state health department figures reported by WKYT on September 14. None of the patients had a recorded measles vaccination, and no deaths have been reported.
Most of the recent growth is in western Kentucky. Christian County now has 19 cases, and Trigg County has 8, up from 14 and 6 when Kentucky Health News tallied the outbreak as of September 4. Both counties border Tennessee and are part of the Clarksville metropolitan area, so the outbreak zone includes communities on both sides of the state line.
