A 35-year-old man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after a knife attack at a busy London Tube station on Wednesday night.
Nicholas Orlando Green, of Kennington Park Road, will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on Saturday, says the British Transport Police (BTP).
He will face two attempted murder charges, along with one count of possession of a bladed article and one count of sexual assault. He has been remanded into custody.
It comes after two people suffered knife injuries in an incident at Kennington Underground Station on Wednesday night.
Police and paramedics were called to the station around 10.30pm to reports of the stabbings.
“A further member of the public later reported being groped as the suspect left the station,” said BTP on Friday.
Police said the attacker had left the area by the time officers arrived.
“The injured victims were taken to hospital, where they remain in a critical but stable condition,” said a BTP spokesperson on Thursday.
Eyewitnesses reported a “huge” police and ambulance presence at Kennington Underground Station on Wednesday evening, as passengers were evacuated.
The incident came just hours after a separate knife attack that happened on a Southeastern train at Beckenham Junction on Wednesday afternoon.
Another man is facing court on Saturday charged over that attack.
