Kendall Jenner has opened up about her struggles with fame.
The 27-year-old spoke candidly about her life in the spotlight since the tender age of 11, when she first starred in an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians on E!
She explained that spending her childhood as a reality TV star had been tough for her, ultimately saying: "I was born into this life, but I didn’t choose this life."
Kendall went on to share that she believes that some of her sisters, Kim Kardashian in particular, were "built" for a life of fame and being chased by paparazzi, but she doesn't think she was and has felt "out of place" in her family because of it.
“[Kim’s] like, ‘I used to go to Kitson on Robertson just to get photographed….’ I think she was built for [this life],” she said. "But since I was really young, I felt out of place in my family, I’m not built for this by any means.
"I’m not good at it. I do it, and I’ve learned how to do it," she told the Wall Street Journal magazine.
Despite her feelings about her life in the limelight, Kendall admitted that she considers herself as "one of the luckiest people on the planet" to be able to live the life she leads.
“I consider myself one of the luckiest people on the planet to be able to live the life that I live, but I do think that it’s challenging for me a lot more than it’s not,” she added.
She also confessed that although she is close with her Kardashian siblings, she feels less like a Kardashian and more like a Jenner, adding that she is more like her father, Caitlyn Jenner.
“I obviously understand I fall under the umbrella of the Kardashian sisters [but] it’s just weird to me… because I am just like my dad in so many ways,” Kendall said. “I’m such a Jenner, in my opinion.”
