Ken Wharfe, Princess Diana's former personal protection officer, has offered a more sympathetic assessment of King Charles's parenting, saying the monarch 'was a good father' despite not being 'there all the time' during Prince William and Prince Harry's childhood.

Wharfe made the comments in an interview with The Express US on behalf of Casino.org, as reported by the Irish Star. The remarks come as public debate continues over how Diana and the then Prince of Wales shaped their sons' upbringing at Highgrove and beyond.
