Kellie Harrington laughed off a disastrous walk home as a flying bird left its mark.
The Olympic champion may be used to dodging a flurry of punches in the ring but no match for the birds of Dublin.
Harrington poked fun of herself as she shared the snap on Instagram, saying: "As if getting soaked to the bone on the way home from town wasn't enough'
And Harrington also posted the snaps on Twitter as her mother laughed at her expense.
She said: "I turned to me ma to ask her was there something on me head cause it didn't feel like rain, it was nice and warm and this was her reaction. Support of a loving parent"
And the old wives tale of it being good luck did not go over Harrington's head as one of her followers suggested she do the lotto.
She said: "I never really do the Lotto but I did 5lines for tomorrow and 2 for Saturday and a few scratch cards"
