Nottingham Forest fans have taken to social media to send a message to former loanee striker Keinan Davis, after it was confirmed that he signed for Watford.
The forward played a big part in Forest’s promotion to the Premier League at the end of last season. He scored five times in 22 appearances in all competitions after joining on loan from Aston Villa in the January transfer window.
The Reds were quoted a reported price of around £15 million to make the deal permanent this summer, but it seems that Steve Cooper has opted for other targets as he continues to build his team for the Premier League.

That has left Davis free to move to another club this summer, with the striker joining Championship side Watford on loan until the end of the season with an option of a permanent deal. That move will still have an impact on Forest though, with the Reds closing in on a deal for Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis.
Following the confirmation of Davis’ move to Vicarage Road, Forest fans took to social media to give their reaction. Here’s what just some had to say.
Mister Grimsdale : He was the one player I wish we could have kept. Have a great season and you never know you might come back one day. You've got a gem there #wfc. #nffc
Carl Wilkinson : Hope he does well at Watford and stays fit. Clearly very talented and fans will love him. Personally didn't get attached to him as other #NFFC fans and also not sure he would of been worth the risk at Prem level. Had a huge part in us going up and will always be thankful.
DJK : What a signing. Good luck @Keinan . Always grateful for your amazing contribution last season! #NFFC
Dan : Nothing but praise for Davis, hope this works out well for him but kinda gutted he couldn’t continue his journey with us. Had huge impact in such a short space of time with us and of course we’ll all remember his appearance on the Council House balcony. #NFFC
WJ : Look after him #watford from all at #nffc you have got a quality player there would have loved him back at @NFFC this season think he deserves his shot at the premier league hopefully he will get it with you guys now.
Leigh Loseby : @Keinan congrats on your move. Will be watching, think the majority of the #NFFC family will be cheering the hornets to promotion. #WatfordFC look after him… you’ve got a gem.
Dale Camm : Good luck @Keinan hope u get up again this year! You did a great job for us and I know you’ll do a great job for Watford. #nffc #wfc #hornets #onceared
Amanda Needham : Good luck Keinan and Watford! What a player you have! Absolutely brilliant for us at Forest #nffc I hope he helps you back to the Premier League.
Trickymatt : Good luck at #watfordfc @Keinan. Will never be forgotten for what you helped us to achieve last year at #nffc and gutted you're not joining us instead. You have a gem here Hornets fans. Look after him!
