Keeneland puts out the call for spring meet workers

The horses will head to the post in the 88th year of racing at Keeneland a month from this Friday. The call is going out for workers to fill a variety of positions at the historic track in Lexington.

Those interested in a job at Keeneland can apply in person at the Hiring Center or online. This year’s meet will be a lead-up to the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby. The meet runs from April fifth through the 26th and workers are needed in Concessions, Culinary, Dining, Guest Services, Parking, Retail, Security, Track Kitchen and other areas.

The majority of positions are entry-level and don’t require formal training other than paid training provided by Keeneland. Employees typically work 40 paid hours a week. The Hiring Center is situated on the second floor of the racetrack. It’s open every Tuesday and Thursday in March from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00.
