Katie Price's ex husband Alex Reid tells fans she needs 'some serious help'

Katie Price's ex husband Alex Reid is the latest person to issue a warning to the star.

Alex addressed his ex wife on his YouTube channel as he said Katie is in need of "serious help" as he described her life as a "car crash" on the social media platform.

This comes after Piers Morgan penned a savage open letter to the former glamour model, where he told her to 'wake up' and alleged she tried to sleep with both him and Simon Cowell.

The MMA fighter, who was married to the mother of five from 2010 to 2012, gave his opinion of Piers Morgan's open letter to Katie, where he said he was sick of watching her 'spiral out of control', writes the Mirror.

Alex said he 'wholeheartedly agrees' with Piers that an 'intervention needs to happen' after she has been declared bankrupt, broken both her ankles after falling off a wall in Turkey and had a horror drink drive smash in the past three years alone.

Giving his take on the situation, Alex, 46, said: "Say what you want about me, I'm sure you will. But this lady needs some serious help. It is a car crash.

"I can say so many things about why Kate came into my life and there was a lot of pain and suffering. I've grown stronger out of that.

"The main thing is you can see the signs that have been going on in Kate's life for many years. Even just most recently the drink-driving.

"I talk about mental health a lot. I've suffered from poor mental health and we all suffer with bad mental health from time to time.

"It's important to be recognised and I totally and wholeheartedly agree with Mr Morgan that an intervention needs to happen because someone's really not right."

Alex went on to say he can understand the fascination with Katie as he too 'still has an interest'.

He added how they would make money from the arguments they would have in the media and questioned whether money was a motivating factor for her wild lifestyle.

Alex reflected: "It was a very crazy time and so I've had a lot of time to reflect and lots of intervention and therapy myself."

Mirror Online has contacted Katie's representative for comment.

It comes after Piers warned Katie to 'sort herself out' saying she has 'spiralled into self destruct'.

The journalist and TV personality penned some brutally frank words for the former glamour model in an open letter addressed to her from his Uncensored Column for The Sun.

He confessed after 20 years as her friend he simply 'can't bite his tongue any longer'.

Piers told the mum-of-five: "You’re a straight talker like me, so let me be brutally frank: you’re spiralling completely out of control, and this won’t end well if you don’t wake the f**k up pretty damn sharpish and pull yourself together."

The often outspoken commentator continued and even quoted Pricey herself who once confessed ''My middle name is Drama', before listing the long line of catastrophes that she's encountered.

He continued to list Katie's recent alleged dramas - including her bankrupt status, her past drug use, "endless new plastic surgeries" and the recent reports where she has been "been accused of repeatedly cheating on your fiancée".

"The shocking car crash you endured last September, which nearly cost you your life, should have been the moment to shake you into reality."

Katie was handed a 16-week suspended sentence in December for the offence, which was committed while she was disqualified and did not have insurance.
