Katie Price has been flooded with praised after she made an unexpected appearance on The One Show. The former glamour model created a film for the BBC programme alongside her eldest son, Harvey.
Aired during the programme on Thursday night (May 18), which was being hosted by Alex Jones and Roman Kemp, it showed Katie and Harvey visit a charity that helps people with special needs gain work placements and full-time employment like every other member of society who do not live with extra challenges or needs.
Harvey, 20, lives with Septo-optic Dysplasia, autism and Prader-Willi syndrome and his conditions mean that he requires constant care around the clock. He was seen meeting a girl, also 20, who had been given a work placement at a hospital where she was a cleaner alongside her studies at college.

Harvey was seen having a go at tasks with her as his mum explored the barriers faced by young disabled people who are trying to find a job for the first time. But she did share a 'worry'. "Like many other young people with a disability he’s finding it difficult making the transition into adulthood – especially when it comes to getting a job," Katie explained in the segment.
"I want nothing more than for Harvey to find his dream job – but because he needs so much support, I worry it won’t be possible." But after learning more about DFN Project Search, a scheme that offers work experience placements to disabled people at various private and public organisations, Katie later seemed more hopeful for her son's future.
"After meeting the families today I realise that Harvey can get a fulfilling job and hopefully he’ll be able to get the independence he desperately strives for," Katie said of the experience.
Following her and Harvey's appearance on the show, The One Show fans flocked to social media to praise Katie as another and her bond with her son, whose estranged father is retired footballer Dwight Yorke.
@carolecowel said: "Well done @katieprice for highlighting yet another lack in our society." @laromita09 commented: "Huge respect for @katieprice for her dedication to her children & her special care for Harvey." @female_del_boy shared: "Keep going Harvey! Hopefully you can achieve your dreams and show others they can too."
