"Apologies in advance for the disgusting language," she said as she shared a screenshot.
"And it's not just the pics! This is the kinds stuff I get sent frequently," she told fans with a vomiting emoji.
Katie, 28, played sweet-natured machinist Sinead in Coronation Street from 2013 until Sinead's tragic death after battling cancer in 2019.
She is currently showing a different side to her acting talents as conspiracy theorist Becky Quentin in Hollyoaks.
Last year she juggled filming the Channel Four soap with competing on Strictly Come Dancing.
She was partnered on the BBC dance show with pro dancer Gorka Marquez and they became the second couple to leave the competition.
Katie, who is single, marked Valentine's Day by sharing a snap of herself with her pals publicist and talent manager Lee Bennett and celebrity fashion stylist Ryan Kay.
"But who needs a Valentine's when you've had a Galentines?" she asked.
And, with a comical cartoon meme about February 14, she wrote "If anyone fancies taking me on a date I'm available" with laughing and shrug emojis.
