Katherine Ryan has claimed she accused a celebrity of being a sexual predator in front of colleagues while working on a TV show.
The Canadian comedian did not disclose the man’s identity.
During an episode of her Amazon Prime series Backstage With Katherine Ryan, the 38-year-old talked about the alleged incident with fellow comic Sara Pascoe.
However, the star also admitted she had “no proof” to make such claims.
“I raised it,” Ryan said. “I called him a predator to his face and in front of everyone every day.”
The mum-of-two added: “What am I supposed to do? It’s such a messy thing because I don’t have proof. What, am I not supposed to feed my children because of someone else?”
Meanwhile, Dagenham-born Pascoe shared her own story where she said she was contacted by a viewer of a TV series who claimed they had been raped by a celebrity on the show.
The 42-year-old said she reported the allegation to the TV channel.
“Have you ever done a job and then someone’s contacted you and said: ‘That’s my rapist’?” she asked.
“I had it on a job recently where I’ve had to go to the channel, and it’s that whole thing because you feel such a sense of responsibility, but you also want it to be dealt with well... It’s so complicated.”
