Kate Moss is due to take the stand in Johnny Depp's defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
The supermodel dated Depp from 1994-1997, and is set to recall an incident where the actor helped her after she slipped in flipflops when the couple were on holiday.
The famously private fashion icon has been called to the stand after the Aquaman actress mentioned Moss by name, referring to an incident where Depp allegedly pushed her down the stairs.
The incident was soon described as a legal blunder by experts, and after Heard name-dropped the 48-year-old model, Depp's legal team could be seen fist bumping one another.
A source familiar with the case told the New York Post Moss will talk about an incident when she "was walking down some stairs in Jamaica".
"She was wearing flip flips and she slipped on the last two stairs. Johnny caught her and tended to her."
The news of Kate's testimony comes after Heard's legal team announced that they changed their minds and will not call Depp back to the witness stand because it would be as "relevant to us as a bicycle to a fish".
"Everything Depp has testified up to this point has been irrelevant to the heart of this case, and there's no reason to believe it would be any different now," Heard's attorney said.
The DC Comics actress first made reference to the alleged incident with Moss on May 5, when she told the jury about a March 2015 fight in which she punched Depp in the face over fears he was going to push her sister, Whitney, down the stairs.
"[Whitney's] back was to the staircase, and Johnny swings at her," Heard said. "I don't hesitate, I don't wait - I just, in my head, instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs.
"And I swung at him."
She had previously brought up the rumour during Depp's 2022 UK trial against The Sun - which had branded him a 'wife beater.'
As she described the same fight, Heard said at the time: "I remembered information that I had heard [that] he pushed a former girlfriend- I believe it was Kate Moss - down the stairs.
"I had heard this rumour from two people and it was fresh in my mind."
A source close to the case told the Post that Moss' testimony about falling on some stairs will not help Heard.
"Johnny picked up Kate and carried her - this was hardly Amber's scary interpretation of events," the source said, adding that Depp's legal team have been speaking to Moss in the last week.
"Kate has nothing to gain in giving testimony, but she feels strongly about defending her friend," the source added.
Usually, alleged misconduct that's not related to a specific accusation in a case isn't allowed to be brought up by lawyers at trial.
But Heard's mention of Moss opened the door for Depp's attorneys to call the model as a witness to address the allegation.
"[Moss] is still allegedly friends with Johnny, and her testimony wasn't allowed to come in before because it wasn't as relevant," said California entertainment lawyer Mitra Ahouraian.
According to reports in the US, she will testify via live video link and be called by Depp's team on Wednesday.
