Kate Middleton's strict house rule that's 'off limits' for George, Charlotte and Louis

Rumours are swirling that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are wanting to up sticks from London and move to Windsor.

Since marrying in 2011, the couple has made Kensington Palace their official home along with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Despite having the help of a nanny, the pair are regularly seen taking their children on the school run and reportedly love doing fun activities such as crafts, baking and playing in the garden.

But it's not all fun - Kate and William can also be strict when they need to be.

And according to a source, there is one rule in their home that the couple is firm on following - and are likely to keep up even if they move house.

They told the Sun : "Shouting is absolutely ‘off limits’ for the children and any hint of shouting at each other is dealt with by removal."

But rather be sent off to their bedrooms or to the naughty step when they act up, the royal couple have a different technique - the sofa chat.

The source added: "The naughty child is taken away from the scene of the row or disruption and talked to calmly by either Kate or William.

The Cambridge family currently split their time between their official London home of Kensington Palace and their weekend retreat of Amner Hall in Norfolk

But they are said to be ready to move as living in suburbia makes "total sense".

According to the Telegraph, the pair, who are parents to eight-year-old Prince George, Princess Charlotte, six, and three-year-old Prince Louis, are eyeing up a move to Windsor and are interested in the Fort Belvedere residence.

In 1929, it became the home of Prince Edward, Prince of Wales, who later became Edward VIII - and it is where he signed his abdication papers in 1936.

Meanwhile, last year, it was reported that William and Kate were "seriously considering" relocating to Windsor to be closer to the Queen and royal decision making.

A move to Windsor would also see them nearer Kate's family, who is based not far away in Bucklebury.

A source told the Mail on Sunday at the time: “Anmer Hall made sense while William was a helicopter pilot in East Anglia and it was useful for Christmases at Sandringham, but it doesn’t really work anymore.

"It’s a little too far away for weekends, but Windsor is a perfect compromise. They are eyeing up options in the area."
