Little Prince Louis might be one of the most famous children on the planet, but his 5th birthday last week would have been "conventional", says a royal expert.
The family haven't revealed what they did on Louis' special day on Sunday, but historian, writer and broadcaster Tessa Dunlop says it would have been quite a traditional celebration and nothing flashy.
Tessa told OK!: "It’s always about spending time together, [Kate's] quite conventional in an old-fashioned sense of the word, I don’t think she’ll shy away from the fact she comes from a conventional family."
For Louis' birthday they would have been "mucking in and mucking about" with "party crackers and party games," she said, adding: “She doesn’t lend out easily to the celeb world, she’s a more conventional, posh girl really."
The Prince and Princess of Wales always release a portrait of their children to mark their birthdays - often taken by keen photographer Kate.
For Louis' they shared a photo of him smiling as he sits in a wheelbarrow on the Windsor estate dressed in a blue wooly jumper and blue shorts.
Talking more about Kate and what she's like when it comes to her children's birthdays Tessa said: “Kate is really old school, hands-on, picnics, days on the beach kind of mum, they'll be no doubt lots of balloons - the birthday accessories will be there."
Meanwhile, over in California, a 'low-key' party at home has been planned for Prince Archie's birthday, it's been revealed.
Archie turns four on May 6, the same day as his grandfather's Coronation.
Earlier this month it was announced Prince Harry would travel to London to attend the ceremony, while Meghan will remain in the US with their children.
A source said Meghan will hold a small bash at their home in Montecito in Santa Barbara, California.
"They'll have friends around them and Meghan's mom, Doria [Ragland]. Meghan will definitely have support that weekend," the source told People magazine.
Naturally, little sister Lilibet will also be part of the celebrations.
"They are so sweet together. Archie loves Lili. He's such a sweet boy. When she's not around, he asks, 'Where's Lili?' " they added.
