Many Life Stories viewers were making the same point about Charlotte Church during Kate Garraway's first episode.

The Voice of an Angel child star, who rose to fame aged just 11, admitted to struggling with being in the spotlight as a child.

Speaking candidly to Kate Garraway, she admitted to cutting ties with her mum and moving out aged just 16, because she "needed to be free" after growing up in the public eye.

The 35-year-old also joked about how much she "loves to swear", saying it "gets your point across" perfectly.

She also spoke about tragedies she has experienced, including losing her baby daughter while 17 weeks pregnant, and her father being diagnosed with a rare terminal illness.

But Charlotte has learned to enjoy the positives, and seems very happy with her family life.

Many viewers were loving Charlotte's interview.

Taking to Twitter, Donna Binet said: "Love our Charl, so straight and honest - she’s bloody awesome - would love to have a pint with her"
