Fans of Kate Garraway have been sending her well-wishers ahead of Christmas. It comes after the presenter has posted a heartwarming update as her family gets ready to celebrate the festive season.
Kate's husband Derek has had an ongoing health battle after falling seriously ill with Covid. Derek went into a coma following catching coronavirus in 2020.
Leicestershire Live reports he is still in a serious condition. Good Morning Britain host Kate has kept followers updated throughout their journey and shared her family getting ready for Christmas.

In a series of pictures shared on Instagram, she showed her family including children Billy and Darcey wrestling with a huge Christmas tree. Kate said: “So they say it takes a village to raise a child, but how many does it take to raise a Christmas tree?
“Well in my case (altogether now sing along), 5 exasperated shop workers, 4 helpful neighbours, 3 frazzled parents, 2 excited kids & NOT a partridge in a pear tree but my Peugeot. Even my own mother didn’t believe I could get a 6-foot tree in but I knew my Percy Peugeot wouldn’t let me down!
“So worth it to see the kids so happy, ready for Christmas.” Her followers quickly responded with their good wishes. Olwynwainwright said: “I personally don’t know you Kate but what an awesome strong beautiful woman an inspiration to others . Wishing you and your beautiful family a safe and happy Christmas x”
