CHIKKAMAGALURU: At least two women died after a tree fell on a house in Karnataka's Chikkamagaluru district on Tuesday night.
The incident was reported from K Talagur village under Balur police limits of Mudigere taluk in the district at around 10.30pm.
The deceased were identified as Chandramma (55) and Sarita( 37).
According to the locals, Sarita and Chandramma were neighbours as well as relatives. On Tuesday night, Sarita went to Chandramma's house along with her two children (both male) to sleep fearing a big tree might fall on her house. At night, the tree fell on Chandramma's house.
Sarita died on the spot while Chandramma breathed her last on way to hospital. Both the children were safe.
