Karnataka: Right-wing activists barge into pub in Mangaluru, stop students from partying

MANGALURU: Right-wing activists have allegedly barged into a pub and stopped students from partying on Monday night.

The police reportedly rushed to the spot and took control of the situation. The incident took place at a pub near Balmatta, and it is learnt that the students had organised a farewell party. The activists objected to women partying and even allegedly hurled abuses at them. More details are awaited

The incident brought back memories of Mangaluru's infamous pub attack that took place in the year 2009 when activists allegedly belonging to the Sri Rama Sene, barged into a pub on Balmatta Road and viciously attacked girls who were present there.
