BENGALURU: Targeting revival of Electricity Supply Companies (Escoms) across Karnataka, a one-man committee headed by retired IAS officer G Gurucharan on Monday submitted its report to chief minister Basavaraj Bommai.
While recommending reforms at various levels ranging from policy to operation, the committee highlighted that all five Escoms in Karnataka are reeling under huge debt to the tune of Rs 29,764 crore. Bommai directed officials to draw up an action plan for effective implementation of the measures suggested by the committee.
