Karnataka: No need of Covid-19 negative report for Maharashtra passengers

BENGALURU: Passengers coming from Maharashtra to Karnataka need not carry Covid-19 negative RT-PCR report henceforth, the state health and family welfare department said on Friday in a circular.

Department officials, however, said the mandate for production of negative reports by travellers from Goa and Kerala will continue till further orders.

As reported by TOI earlier, the state Covid-19 technical advisory committee had recommended the government to do away with the mandatory Covid negative RT-PCR report for Maharashtra passengers. However, the norm for production of second-dose vaccination certificate will continue with strict enforcement, said TK Anil Kumar, principal secretary, health and family welfare department.
