Karnataka govt enforcing untouchability against Muslims, alleges Asaduddin Owaisi

BENGALURU: Asaduddin Owaisi, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief, criticised the Karnataka government, saying it had “enabled brazen mob rule”. He was reacting to a demand by some pro-Hindu outfits to boycott Muslim mango traders. “Karnataka govt has enabled brazen mob rule. Mobs are deciding who can sell what, and who can buy from whom.

There is no “Muslim monopoly”, it’s just another excuse to enforce untouchability against Muslims,” Owaisi, an MP from Hyderabad, said in tweet. He also alleged that the Karnataka government was endangering the lives of poor people in the name of “jan jagruti”. Owaisi’s comments come after Chandru Moger, coordinator, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in Karnataka, in a post on Twitter, urged Hindus to buy fruits only from Hindu vendors boycott Muslim traders.
