Karnataka: Govt approves Ananthaswamy’s tune for state anthem, to be rendered in 2:30 minutes

BENGALURU: Putting an end to the long-drawn battle over the ‘right tune’ for singing the state anthem—Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujaathe, the state government on Friday adopted the original tune composed by acclaimed composer Late Mysore Ananthaswamy.

Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai cleared the proposal of the Kannada and Culture department which recommended Mysore Ananthaswamy’s tune based on the recommendation by the government-appointed experts’ committee.
