New Delhi: The Congress on Saturday released the first list of 124 candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Karnataka.
According to a communique issued by Congress general secretary Mukul Wasnik, party's Central Election Commission (CEC) has selected the candidates.
Among the prominent candidates include former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and party's state unit president DK Shivakumar.
Siddaramaiah, who is also the Leader of Opposition will contest from Varuna Assembly constituency and Shivakumar from Kanakapura seat, as per the release.
The Assembly elections in Karnataka are expected to be held in May this year. (with UNI inputs)
