Karnataka: Ailing road transport corporations forced to deal with ageing fleet

BENGALURU: Still recovering from pandemic-induced losses, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) and North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) are facing a fresh problem — an ageing fleet of buses that need scrapping.

However, volatile finances have prevented all three SRTCs from doing so and they are pinning their hopes on a government bailout.
