GAURIBIDANUR: A two-year-old male leopard was caught near Tekalahalli village in Gauribidanur taluk, about 70 km from Bengaluru. The big cat was trapped in a cage kept in the fields of a farmer in the village, said Y Chethan, range forest officer.
Chethan said the leopard had created panic in Tekalahalli and surrounding villages for the past one month and based on a complaint from the villagers, forest officials kept a close watch on the animal's movement. The big cat got trapped early Sunday morning. tnn
