Kanye West told Pete Davidson he ‘needs security' and mocked Kim Kardashian during his highly-anticipated Donda 2 show.
The rapper unveiled a performance experience of his new album, Donda 2, which took place in Miami, and included appearances from The Game, Migos, Jack Harlow, Alicia Keys, and Playboi Carti.
Kanye, who has legally changed his name to Ye, took aim at the Saturday Night Live star’s new relationship with Kim, and in the lyrics of his track security, he seemed to suggest nothing would stand in the way of reuniting with his family.
“Pop some, I ain’t getting frisked. I put your security at risk. Pop some I ain’t getting frisked. I put your security at risk.
“Ok we gon' make this an event? y’all gone need security for this. Security gon’ need security for this,” he rapped.
“Never take the family picture off the fridge. Never stand between a man and his kids. Y’all ain’t got enough security for this,” Kanye continued.
“I put your security at risk. I make your security all quit, like ‘we ain’t gettin paid enough for this.”
His suggestive lyrics come just days after he leaked messages from estranged wife Kim, as she pleaded with him to stop threatening Pete over fears somebody would get hurt.
Kanye also performed his track Eazy, which leaked back in January, and takes another aim at the 28-year-old funnyman - who has been dating Kim since November - once again.
“God saved me from the crash, just so I can beat Pete Davidson's a**,” he fired.
Kanye, who shares North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2 with the SKIMS founder, later debuted a song that featured an old clip of Kim’s voice heaping praise on the Gold Digger rapper.
“I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he is the richest Black man in America. A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids,” Kim can be heard saying at the beginning of the song Sci-Fi.
The stadium in Miami was in darkness throughout the whole performance, with attendees - including Elon Musk, French Montana and Rick Ross - being told to switch off their phones.
The only light came from a burning house - a replica of Kanye’s childhood home in Chicago - in the centre of the stage, surrounded by water.
Kim filed for divorce from her husband of almost seven years in February 2021, following their split just one month earlier.
