Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips has been told that his move to the Etihad Stadium could hamper his chances of playing at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
That's the opinion of former City and Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamman, who believes that swapping Leeds United for City could 'harm his chances' of featuring for Gareth Southgate's England side.
City parted with £42m to bring Phillips to the Etihad Stadium, but he recently started on the bench in both the Community Shield defeat to Liverpool and the opening day Premier League win at West Ham.
