Seven years after his Leeds United debut, with 234 appearances to his name, Kalvin Phillips is waving farewell to the club he loves after agreeing a transfer to Premier League champions Manchester City. Last week, the Whites accepted an offer and on July 1, the midfielder wrapped up the deal at Etihad Stadium.
City expect to pay £42m plus £3m in add-ons for the England international, but United hope the deal will be worth between £50m and £55m to them. The official fee will remain undisclosed.
Phillips has signed a six-year contract with the Manchester outfit, which has won four of the last five Premier League titles. There have also been four EFL Cups and one FA Cup in that time.
