Korean pop-rock group The Rose recently captivated audiences with their performance at Coachella, where they closed out their set with their 2023 hit song “Wonder,” accompanied by the University of Southern California marching band. The quartet, consisting of four members - singer and guitarist Woosung, bassist Jaehyeong, and drummers Hajoon and Dojoon, shared their excitement about the experience.
The Rose's musical journey began in 2017 with the release of their debut single “Sorry.” Following a hiatus for mandatory military service, the group reunited in 2022 and released their first full-length album, “Heal,” which achieved a No. 4 ranking on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart. Their subsequent album, “Dual,” showcased the band's experimental side and received positive feedback.
The Coachella performance marked the conclusion of The Rose's Dawn to Dusk tour, described by Dojoon as a “short but powerful” experience. The band expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform on a grand scale, with aspirations of playing in large stadiums.
Having established a presence on the festival circuit, The Rose has performed at various events, including Lollapalooza. The band draws inspiration from fellow musicians and attributes their success to a genuine love for music that shines through in their live performances.
Looking ahead, The Rose recently launched a unisex fragrance named Black Rose, a nod to their dedicated fan base. The group emphasized their involvement in creating the scent, aiming to evoke a sensory connection to their music during live shows.
While prioritizing rest post-tour, The Rose members have individual plans for the downtime. Future album releases are on the horizon, with Woosung hinting at having songs ready for the next project. The group plans to take a brief break before diving back into the creative process.
As they recharge and contemplate their next steps, The Rose remains committed to delivering heartfelt music and memorable experiences for their fans.
