Juventus target third Chelsea player in bid to take full advantage of Blues problems

Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher could be one of three Blues stars to swap Stamford Bridge for Juventus amid the club's crisis.

Gallagher, 22, has shone out on loan at Crystal Palace this season, emerging as a Premier League star as he prepares for a west London return. The England midfielder is contracted to the Blues until 2025, but is reportedly attracting interest from a host of top European clubs this summer.

The financial sanctions imposed on exiled owner Roman Abramovich has led to unprecedented uncertainty and a mass exodus could ensue with a host of players considering their Chelsea futures. Cobham product Gallagher is yet to make a competitive Blues appearance but is a fully fledged international with a rising stock after scoring eight Premier League goals for the Eagles this term.

And according to the Sun, Juventus are among the clubs who scouted the youngster in Palace's recent goalless draw against Manchester City at Selhurst Park. It is claimed the Old Lady are joined by fellow Serie A giants Inter Milan in their pursuit of Gallagher.

Gallagher could become the third Blues star to move to Turin this summer, if reports in Italy are believed. Antonio Rudiger has become one of Thomas Tuchel's most reliable players since the German took charge but is set to be heading for the exit door.

The centre-back's contract expires this summer and the Blues are not allowed to hand out any new deals under current sanctions. Gazzetta dello Sport claim Rudiger will end his five-year stay in west London to join Massimiliano Allegri on a free transfer at Juventus.

Meanwhile, the future of Blues midfielder Jorginho is also in doubt after his agent revealed the player's desire to return to Italy one day. Metronomic Jorginho was instrumental in Tuchel's side's Champions League glory last season but has been persistently linked with a return to his native country.

Jorginho's Chelsea contract expires in 2023 but an imminent transfer does not seem plausible given the current stipulations under the UK government's special sporting licence, banning the sale of players. However, his representative has refused to cool talk of a future move by leaving the door open to the Juve transfer.

"To Juventus next year? Since (Maurizio) Sarri was there, we talk about Juve, but at the moment Chelsea can't move anything on the transfer market. We have to see what happens,”Jorginho's representative Joao Santos told Radio Marte, via Calciomercato.com.

“Obviously Juventus are an important team at European level, we have to see. He arrived in Italy when he was 15, obviously he would like to return one day."
