Justin Timberlake Teases Emotional Ballad 'Drown' Ahead Of Album Release

Justin Timberlake looks happy.

Justin Timberlake is gearing up to release his highly anticipated new album, 'Everything I Thought It Was,' and has been keeping his fans engaged with the announcement of a second song off the record. The pop star, aged 43, took to Instagram to tease the new track titled 'Drown,' which is set to be released this Friday.

In a video posted on Instagram, Timberlake shared a snippet of the emotional ballad, showcasing his signature high-register vocals as he played verses acoustically on a piano. The lyrics of the song reflect themes of heartbreak and betrayal, with Timberlake singing about being left alone in the dark and feeling overwhelmed by emotions.

Timberlake also updated his fans on his health, mentioning that he is still recovering from the flu but is excited for the new music and upcoming releases. 'Drown' will be the second single from Timberlake's upcoming sixth studio album, scheduled for release on March 15 via RCA, following the lead single 'Selfish.'

The Grammy winner has described his new album as 'incredibly honest' and 'introspective,' with some tracks being 'fun.' He shared that the songs on the album draw inspiration from his personal experiences and offer a genuine perspective on his past.

Timberlake expressed that this album is his best work yet, emphasizing the authenticity and depth of the music. The singer's return to the studio after a few years away from work was driven by a desire to create again, following a period of focusing on his family life with his wife Jessica Biel and their two sons.

With the release of 'Drown' and the upcoming album, fans can expect a mix of emotional ballads and upbeat tracks that showcase Timberlake's musical evolution and personal growth.
