Justin Bieber's Grammy Awards outfit mocked as fans joke 'he'll grow into it'

Justin Bieber's oversized outfit attracted a mocking from fans as he graced the red carpet for the Grammy Awards night.

The 28-year-old singer's custom creation by designer label Balenciaga was one fans were not keen to emulate with the look left firmly for 'La La' land awards ceremonies.

And if fans tried to forgive the huge grey suit jacket, the accessories of bizarre platform steel-toed boots and bright beanie cap were simply a step too far as fans flocked to social media to poke fun at his unique ensemble.

One posted: "Reminded of the final scene in 'Big' when Tom Hanks turns back into a 12 year old,' read one tweet.

Another jokey comparison was Taking Heads star David Byrne and his iconic supersized suit. 'Who wore the size better? Bieber of David Byrne of the Talking Heads?' asked one tweeter.

Others quipped that Justin's tailor had mixed up his measurements with 7ft 1in basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal's.

''When @SHAQ opens that UPS package and finds @justinbieber’s suit, he’s gonna be PI**ED' joked one tweet, while another agreed, writing:

''Airline luggage mixup forces Justin Bieber to make last minute wardrobe decision and wear Shaq O'Neal's suit to Grammys.''

Another witty follower chimed in: ''Maybe he'll grow into it in a few years.''

Fortunately Justin's wife did not choose to continue with Justin's look instead slipping into a silky strapless gown from Saint Laurent, styled with an array of dainty gold chain necklaces by Elsa Peretti.

The couple still packed in the PDA as they shared a lingering kiss on the red carpet.

But it wasn't to be Justin's night as the Canadian singer, who nominated for an impressive seven Grammy Awards, including the coveted Album Of The Year gong - went home empty handed.

He did however, take to the stage to perform the single Peaches with Giveon and Daniel Caesar, who are featured on the track.

Oliva Rodrigo scooped three wins but it was Silk Sonic and Jon Batiste who were stand out winners at this year's Grammy Awards.

The drivers licence singer secured no less than three gongs at the ceremony, including Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Solo Pop Performance.

But the songstress broke her Grammy Award minutes after receiving it.

Olivia was likened to Taylor Swift - who famously dropped her award in 2010.

As Olivia stepped into the winners' room to pose with her trophies, she was given all three of them to take a snap with. However, she ended up dropping one of them and the gramophone broke off the top.
