Justin Bieber has slammed H&M’s new fashion line that bears his face and branded it “trash”.

The new collection includes a grey t-shirt dress that has a black-and-white portrait of the Canadian star on it, a white jumper with a different image and a white tote bag that has a collage of pictures of him.

Some of the merchandise on sale also feature a lyric from his 2021 hit Ghost, which reads, “I miss you more than life”.

However, the Unholy hitmaker has shared his frustration over the range on social media and claimed he didn’t give his consent, despite the retailer saying it followed correct “approval procedures”.

The 28-year-old, who has his own official merchandise on sale via his website, took to his Instagram Stories and penned: “I didn’t approve any of the merch collection that they put up at H&M… all without my permission and approval.

“SMH I wouldn’t buy it if I were you.”

He continued in another post: “The H&M merch they made of me is trash and I didn’t approve it don’t buy it.”

In a statement to People, a H&M spokesperson said: “As with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M followed proper approval procedures.”

The retailer has previously sold merchandise to promote Bieber’s tours, including his 2016 Purpose Tour, and his Stadium Tour in 2017.

The Standard has reached out to H&M for comment.

Bieber’s merch frustration comes after the star was forced to postpone a number of his US Justice world tour dates earlier this year, amid his ongoing recovery from Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

Ramsay Hunt syndrome (RHS) is due to viral reactivation and is one of 60 causes of facial palsy, or facial paralysis as it is known in the US.

He returned to the stage in August after two months but was forced to postpone a number of shows in September to “make his health a priority” amid his ongoing recovery.

At the time, he said his shows in Europe had “taken a real toll on me” and he needs more time to “rest and get better”.
