Jurgen Klopp conceded too many of his players put in poor performances for Liverpool to stand any chance of victory against Manchester City on Saturday.
Mohamed Salah fired the Reds into a first-half lead at the Etihad, only for Julian Alvarez to equalise just before the half-hour mark. Second-half goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, and Jack Grealish then wrapped up a comfortable 4-1 victory for City.
And speaking after the game, Klopp revealed he believed only four of his players put in performances that could be considered anywhere near ‘okay’.
