Jurgen Klopp has again refused to rule out Liverpool signing a midfielder before Thursday's transfer deadline. However, the German has admitted the closer it gets to the window closing, the more unlikely it is that the Reds will be able to strengthen.
Liverpool 's incoming business had been expected to be done for the summer after bringing in Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay. However, an injury-hit start to the campaign saw the Reds alter that stance, with Klopp admitting last week his squad could do with another midfielder.
Recording their first victory of the season at the weekend in emphatic fashion by dismantling newly-promoted AFC Bournemouth 9-0, Liverpool's stance remains the same. But the German admitted that the Reds have so far struggled to find the right player to bring in due to reasons beyond their control.
