Julian Nagelsmann was a leading candidate to replace Graham Potter at Chelsea before the German pulled out of the running to become the Blues' next permanent manager. football.london reported earlier this month that Nagelsmann was a serious contender to replace Potter and had held talks with Chelsea's representatives.
The former Bayern Munich boss has since withdrawn from the running after harbouring serious concerns over the recruitment process, according to the Daily Mail. The west London outfit have narrowed down their search to just three candidates with Ange Postecoglou joining Mauricio Pochettino and Burnely boss Vincent Kompany in the final round of talks.
football.london understands that the club have held positive talks with Pochettino regarding taking over from Potter. The Blues hierarchy are huge admirers of the 51-year-old and his qualities and the players at Stamford Bridge are open to the idea of working with the former Tottenham manager.

The report from the Daily Mail suggests that Nagelsmann was under the impression that the Chelsea job was his and that talks were a formality. However, concerns began to grow following a succession of meetings with Pochettino and Kompany also being considered.
The ex-Bayern head coach decided to pull out of discussions on Friday last week and has now been tipped to become Spurs' next manager after Antonio Conte was sacked. Nagelsmann had 'serious concerns' about the Blues' recruitment process after they have spent £600million on new signings in the last two transfer windows.
The west Londoners have an inflated squad with many players thought to be up for sale this summer as Todd Boehly looks to reduce the wage bill and trim the playing squad down. Frank Lampard has endured a difficult time as caretaker boss after returning to the club until the end of the season, losing his first four games in charge as the Blues search for a new permanent manager to take them forward next season.
