Julian Nagelsmann has already explained how he would change Tottenham amid Antonio Conte exit

Tottenham are reaching a crossroads in the Antonio Conte experiment and as things stand, it appears as though all signs are leading towards an exit for the Italian coach. The former Chelsea man has just a few months remaining on his contract and there still remains uncertainty over any extension.

Conte guided the side to a top-four finish last season against all the odds, but this campaign has been far from easy both on and off the pitch. Away from the football there has been the loss of close friends and health issues for Conte to deal with, while on it there has been a side that have been knocked out of all major competitions with little more than a whimper.

This all culminated in an almighty rant from the head coach after a draw to Southampton, questioning his squad and their desire to win games. "I'm not used to seeing this type of situation. I see a lot of selfish players and I don't see a team," Conte said in an extraordinary post-match conference.

It has led to plenty of discussion over an exit in the next few weeks for the coach, with options being linked as replacements at the helm. One of those is Julian Nagelsmann, who has lost his job at Bayern Munich as the Bundesliga champions swooped to pick up Thomas Tuchel.

Spurs have been linked with the manager before in the past, having told Sky Sports reporters Melissa Reddy during his time at RB Leipzig: "[I've followed Tottenham closely] since Pochettino was there. He's a really good manager, his team was great to watch."

So the question is, if Nagelsmann were to take the role in north London, what sort of play style would he play? Speaking to the Telegraph in 2021, he insisted that entertaining fans was a No. 1 priority, saying: "Winning is what matters and winning is entertaining.

“I never want to change my offensive and attacking football because I love it and I love it when the fans have an emotional time in the stadium. So I will not change this. But if there is a time when I cannot win like this then I will have to change.”
