Kenjaku and Naoya Zen'in are coming to "Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton," but not as characters you can pick.
Shueisha Games confirmed both as boss characters during Juju Fes 2026 on Aug. 30, alongside new key art illustrated by MAPPA, the studio behind the anime. The event marked the anime's fifth anniversary.
That distinction is the news. The game is planned for more than 20 characters, ten of which are already announced as playable — Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Toge Inumaki, Maki Zen'in, Yuta Okkotsu, Kinji Hakari, Choso, Kento Nanami and Satoru Gojo.
The first two additions since that roster went public are both enemies.
What that means in a match
"Survivaton" is a survivors royale built by poncle, the developer of Vampire Survivors. Up to eight players share a map, cutting through waves of Cursed Spirits and levelling up mid-run while racing each other on points. Attacks fire automatically, so the game is about movement and positioning.
Bosses appear mid-battle and disrupt everyone at once rather than targeting a single player. Dropping Kenjaku and Naoya into that slot makes them a shared problem — the thing that scrambles a leaderboard three minutes before the clock runs out.
Matches end with the top two players in a 1v1 duel. Hit 100 points along the way and you can trigger a "Rule Addition" to change conditions on your rivals.
The playtest is the dated part
The world's first public playtest build runs at the Shueisha Games booth during Tokyo Game Show 2026, which opens Sept. 17 at Makuhari Messe. Shueisha says attendees who meet unspecified requirements will get a giveaway item, with details announced later.
There is no release date. The game is still listed for 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam.
Shueisha also hasn't said whether either boss becomes playable later, or whether the remaining unannounced characters split between playable and boss roles.
TGS runs Sept. 17–21. That's when the first hands-on impressions land, and it's the next thing on this game's calendar.
