A Lanarkshire tennis club will be serving up a special event next week hosted by Judy Murray.
In celebrating the return of the Davis Cup to Glasgow, the mother of Scots hero Sir Andy Murray will be on hand to introduce a bunch of fun activities at Rutherglen Lawn Tennis Club.
The 'Mini Murray Day' will be an open day-style event which welcomes the whole community to come down to Viewpark Courts, play some tennis, and meet Judy herself.
It takes place on Saturday, September 10, between 2pm and 6pm with booking sessions available online.
The event will feature parent and child games, adult beginner sessions, a team doubles competition and a battle of the Brits skills challenge.
Locals can also get involved in fun fitness circuits and a girls only 'Miss-Hits' session.
There will also be a café available on the day serving some of Judy's favourite cakes.
Rutherglen Lawn Tennis Club posted online ahead of the event: "We're excited to welcome Judy Murray back to Rutherglen Lawn Tennis Club to host a 'Mini Murray Day' and celebrate the return of the Davis Cup to Glasgow.
"Held at our Viewpark Courts on Saturday 10th September, this event is open to the whole community providing a great opportunity to get active and play some tennis, enjoy our café and home baking and meet Judy herself.
"We've got loads of fun sessions planned - just book into what you fancy for an ace afternoon of tennis.
"Or why not just pop down for a cuppa and cake and watch the action?"
The event takes place just days ahead of the Davis Cup finals returning to the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.
It's not the first time Judy, also mum of doubles champion Jamie Murray, has shown her love for the Rutherglen tennis club.
In 2020, she backed the club's ambitious revamp plans to mark their 100-year anniversary.
And in 2014 during a visit to Rutherglen Lawn Tennis Club, the top tennis coach raved about the fantastic display of home baking provided by locals at a similar event - a feature which will be much-looked forward to next weekend.
Judy said at the time: "If there was a national ranking for tennis club teas...I reckon Rutherglen LTC cud be no 1. Serious cakeists."
Spaces are filling up fast for the event on September 10 and online booking is essential.
