Judges and viewers react to Irish Britain's Got Talent star Cillian O'Connor's performance in final

Judges and viewers have reacted to Irish teenager Cillian O'Connor's 'magical' performance at the Britain's Got Talent Final.

The 14-year-old Meath native, who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) received an ecstatic standing ovation from the four judges and the audience, after wowing them with a special magic performance.

The teen, who disappeared in an explosion of confetti on Friday night's semi-final, which he won the most votes from the public, managed to top the performance by making co-host Ant disappear at the end.

Long-time judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon as well as newbie Bruno Tonioli were taken aback by the Meath teen's phenomenal performance, with Simon Cowell saying: "I am running out of adjectives to describe you."

The famous judge, who Cillian played a card trick on as part of the performance, said he thought he had "very charming magic powers" and remarked upon his excitement after each little magic step goes well.

"It was so professional and a great musician has to leave you going, 'how the hell did he do that?' and you did," he said.

Bruno Tonioli said the entire judging panel and audience were all taken by the youngster. "You are the embodiement of magic," he said, adding that he controlled the stage and drew everyone.

Alesha Dixon said he had everyone in the "palm of your hands" and described Cillian's showmanship as "fantastic."

Amanda Holden stated: "Cillian, for me, it's been about your confidence it has grown and grown. Tonight you were at the top of your game. You absolutely smashed it. Well done."

Voters in the Republic of Ireland are not permitted to vote tonight, so Cillian will have to rely on the magic of his performance and the spellbinding effect it has had on viewers in the UK.

Fans have been quick to praise the teen. One said: "This boy is amazing, he needs to win this everyone vote for Cillian."

Another wrote in praise: "Amazing young boy. So well mannered and humble. Cillain does not realise how excellent he is. A bright future he has."
