A federal judge overseeing a lawsuit to restore White House access to three major news organizations says Donald Trump’s administration appears to have failed longstanding legal precedent that requires due process before stripping passes from reporters.
Last week, the White House stripped press passes for CNN, MS NOW and Politico journalists after the president announced he was “banning” the publications “effective immediately” for what he called their “FAKE” reporting. Letters explaining how they can get those passes back weren’t sent out until yesterday.
