Jota has already made his elite European impact - and his first showing in the competition was so good that it showed up Real Madrid.
The Hoops have been out in Germany for matchday three of their Champions League Group F against RB Leipzig but former manager Gordon Strachan has been reminiscing on their first outing in this group against the holders. Despite a fine display against Los Blancos, they eventually lost out 3-0 to the serial winners of this tournament.
Celtic were defeated 3-1 by their midweek opponents at the midway point in the section, but Jota levelled things up before an Andre Silva double took things away from his team. Speaking pre-match of Ange Postecoglou's side meeting Real Madrid, Strachan reckons the Portuguese star showed his continental credentials and even outshone Brazillian suoerstar Vinicius Junior at times, who scored for Real. He told BT: "I think in the first half of the game against Real Madrid he was the better player. He looked like the player the world was talking about.

"Obviously the second half of that became a different game but until then, he was the best forward out on the park.
"You see a lot of dribbles and shots but if you think about it, one of his best moments was a pass earlier in the game that put Abada through.
"It was a pass that not one of us seen coming. This pass came from nowhere, it was just wonderful. He's got a confidence that he just loves playing with the ball."
