Josip Juranovic addresses Celtic transfer talk with agent handed simple instruction from Croatia ace

Josip Juranovic insists he is ignoring all speculation over his Celtic future - with his agent instructed to NOT tell him anything over transfer talk.

The Hoops star is currently at the World Cup with Croatia as they prepare for a semi-final showdown with Lionel Messi's Argentina. Ange Postecoglou's £2.5million signing from Legia Warsaw last summer was arguably the best player on the park at the quarter-final stage as the defender and his countrymen dumped tournament favourites Brazil out on penalties.

The Celtic star has been heavily involved in the bid to be world champions and was reported to have Atletico Madrid coming to watch him in the last eight tie. La Liga rivals Real Sociedad have also been credited with an interest while English Premier League duo Manchester United and Chelsea have also been mentioned in the past.

The Scottish champions are prepared for January offers for the right-back with fellow World Cup star Alistair Johnston already in the door on a long-term deal. The full-back showed his qualities for Canada during the finals.

Despite all the talk surrounding the 27-year-old and his future, he has his eyes fully locked on the World Cup and any talk away from that is not of interest to the Parkhead ace.

He said: “Honestly, I haven’t read what was written since we arrived. We’re just focused on the national team. I even told my agent not to send me anything, I’m not interested at all right now. I want to do something for myself, my future sons and daughters, I want to tell them the story of what we did and to be proud.

"I may not be a player worth 20-30 million Euros, but you must know one thing. I never gave up, even when I was in Hajduk and Dubrava, nor in Celtic, nor in Croatia. My parents taught me to look forward. Life tells strange stories, I stuck to my point that I needed to prove myself on the field.”
