Josie Gibson admits she suffers 'imposter syndrome' three years on from This Morning debut

Josie Gibson has admitted she still feels a sense of imposter syndrome when presenting This Morning - more than three-and-a-half years since making her debut on the hit ITV show.

The 2010 Big Brother winner, who has co-hosted the programme on several occasions since 2019, is now set to return to the famous sofa for a longer stint throughout the summer.

The 37-year old praised supportive co-stars Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond, meanwhile, who have offered her tips along the way on easing into the role.

Discussing the pressures of live television, she told PA Media : "I get nervous all the time and it's three-and-a-half years along the line and I still get nervous to this day.

"Now and again, I've got to give myself a little talking to – because I sometimes get imposter syndrome – 'What am I doing here? How did this happen? How did I get myself into this?'

"Alison always says everyone deserves to be there."

Adding that she 'wouldn't be there if it wasn't for them', the Bristolian, who has fronted the show alongside Vernon Kay in the past, said her background has also helped her in the job.

"I'm quite nosey and I'm from a small town, so I think that helps when it comes to speaking with guests," she explained.

Josie went on to reveal that she felt 'honoured' to be returning to the show once more, adding: "If you had said to me, 'One day, you will be hosting This Morning' – the biggest daytime TV show in the UK, I would have probably burst out laughing.

"Never in a million years did I think I’d be doing something like this.

"But I can't wait – I love working at This Morning so much, I've got the best job ever."

Earlier this month Josie revealed how she balances being a single mum to three-year old Reggie whilst presenting the show.

After learning how to co-parent with her ex, Terry, she opened up: "My weekend starts with cuddles with my son Reggie.

"If I’ve got energy after working I’ll cook a meal, but we love going to David Lloyd for some food – it’s walking distance from our house. Then we’ll lie on the sofa, watch a film and snuggle."

But the mum-of-one admits looking after a toddler is tough and despite her long working hours - she never gets to sleep in.

"Reggie is only three so I never get a lie-in – not even on weekends," she says.

"We’re always up early but we just like to chill at the weekends. It’s Reggie time – we do whatever he wants to do, which usually includes eating out!

"We live in Bristol but we love going out in Bath and we always have a roast dinner on a Sunday. We tend to go out for it, but I do cook a very good roast dinner."
