Josh Taylor's win over Jack Catterall will be investigated by boxing authorities after the Scottish champion was awarded the victory in controversial fashion.
It had almost seemed unanimous to everyone who had watched Catterall get the better of Taylor throughout the majority of the fight, that the Chorley boxer would be handed the victory.
The challenger landed more significant strikes whilst also having a much better percentage of his jabs landed. He controlled the fight for the majority, and the result seemed to be assured when Taylor was docked a point.
Fighting in Glasgow, in front of Taylor's home crowd, he was awarded the victory - leaving boxing fans across the globe in disgust.
Now Robert Smith, the general secretary of the British Boxing Board of Control, has confirmed that they will investigate.
He told Telegraph Sport that he had ordered a report into the scoring of judge Ian John-Lewis, who awarded the bout 114-111 in favour of Taylor.
He said: "We will be looking into it. There were some very close rounds, it was a very close, very scrappy fight, and I have asked for reports from the judges which we will be studying this week.
"Our judges are honest people, and scored it as they saw it. I was there, and I thought Catterall pipped it."
Speaking on the broadcast, Sky Sports' Johnny Nelson was one of many who did not hold back, stating that these sort of results had been reasons why people are turned off from the sport.
He said: "This is what turns casual fans off boxing, when you see decisions made like that.
"You have experts ringside, they're thinking what are you talking about. Josh Taylor did not win that fight."
Catterall stated that his 'dreams were stolen' after the decision.
