Las Vegas Raiders coach Josh McDaniels is hiring former New England Patriots assistant QBs coach Jerry Schuplinski, the Raiders announced on Tuesday. Schuplinski will join Las Vegas as a senior offensive assistant.
McDaniels was the Patriots quarterbacks coach when Schuplinski was an assistant at the position. Schuplinski rose up the Patritos’ ranks from 2013 to 2018. He then left the Patriots in 2019 to serve as the assistant quarterbacks’ coach for the Miami Dolphins under Brian Flores. In 2020, Schuplinski joined Joe Judge’s staff with the New York Giants as a quarterbacks coach, a position which he held until this offseason when New York cleaned house after firing Judge.
Schuplinski, like McDaniels, graduated from John Carroll University.
