Jordan Henderson and Neco Williams moment spotted in Wales vs England World Cup clash

England midfielder Jordan Henderson showed his caring side in helping Nottingham Forest's Neco Williams during the World Cup.

Williams suffered a head injury while playing for Wales against England in Qatar on Tuesday, as a powerful strike from Marcus Rashford hit Williams on the top of his head. The Forest man went down and play was stopped by the referee.

After an initial assessment the wing-back played on for 12 minutes, before signalling he couldn't continue and being substituted. It might have been an on-pitch exchange with former Liverpool teammate Henderson that helped him make that decision.

Eagle-eyed viewers will have spotted a moment between the pair, which came as Henderson fouled Williams in the middle of the park. As the two men went down, Henderson noticed something was not quite right and stopped to check on him.

The duo embraced but Henderson shot a worried look to the Wales bench and Williams left the field shortly thereafter.

During his time at Liverpool, Williams said of Henderson: "I'm always getting advice from older and senior players like Jordan Henderson and James Milner. I do speak to them quite regularly to get good advice in terms of football but also outside of football, just general advice."
