Jonnie Irwin shares ‘frustration’ as terminal cancer is ‘on the move’

Jonnie Irwin has shared how “frustrated” he feels amid his terminal cancer battle.

The A Place in the Sun presenter announced last November that he could only have “months to live” after his lung cancer spread to his brain and became terminal.

Since then, the 49-year-old been documenting his health battle and the emotional milestones as he makes the most of his final moments on social media.

In June, the Channel 4 star revealed he hadn’t told his kids, Rex, four, and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac, about his terminal diagnosis as he felt doing so might “confuse” them.

Now, the property expert has given a frank update on Instagram as to how he is dealing with his terminal diagnosis.

In the post, Irwin could be seen lying down with an oxygen mask over his face and posing with therapists at a wellness centre as he underwent some alternative cancer therapies to aid his wellbeing amid his battle.

He captioned his post: “The wait for more scans is frustrating when you know the cancer is on the move again.

“Meanwhile, there’s stuff I can do to make the terrain as tough as possible for growth and the ladies down at @sereniti_health are part of my team of suppliers for various therapies.

“I’d recommend this place to anyone wanting to tap into a healthier lifestyle,” he continued.

“Big shout as always goes to @how_to_starve_cancer whose constant help has a huge impact. #respect.”

Following the update, Irwin was inundated with messages from followers who praised him for his candour and sent their well wishes.

One follower wrote: “never give up fighting!”

“Wishing you many happy days with your family, Jonnie x”, another commented. A third wrote: “Love and light Jonnie. You got this.”

“You’re looking so well Jonnie on that treatment .. some man for one man,” another added.
