The injury bug has seemingly moved on from the secondary to the offensive line. With Alaric Jackson already sidelined by an ankle injury, Jonah Jackson will now be out awhile.
According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, Jackson suffered a bruised scapula in practice on Tuesday and is expected to miss around six weeks. With the start of the regular season about six weeks away, he’s going to cut it close for Week 1 against his former team, the Detroit Lions.
Jackson signed a three-year deal with the Rams this offseason after spending four years in Detroit, joining Los Angeles as the team’s starting left guard.
#Rams OL Jonah Jackson suffered a bruised scapula, source says. Expected to miss around six weeks. In all, not bad news for the big free-agent pickup.

While Jackson is sidelined, the Rams could turn to either Joe Noteboom or Zachary Thomas temporarily. Both players have received first-team reps in practice.
